RootsTech 2021, February 24th-27th!
This Wednesday through Saturday, February 24-27, FamilyTreeDNA will have a virtual booth at RootsTech’s first-ever virtual conference!
Did we mention it is FREE for the first time ever?
Keynote Speakers
The 11th conference promises to be just as insightful as previous events held in Salt Lake City with keynote speakers such as professional soccer player Tita, and Nick Vujicic, an Australian American born without arms or legs, who faced incredible trials throughout his life but, through perseverance and hope, discovered purpose, strength, and the power of kindness and empathy.
Sessions
Hundreds of sessions of lectures and workshops will cover everything from genetic genealogy to research tips. Two speakers represent FamilyTreeDNA in-booth sessions this year:
- Janine Cloud, FTDNA Group Project Manager, presents Big Y: What is it? Why Do I Need It?
- Sherman McRae, Group Project Support Specialist, presents Using DNA to Find Ancestors Lost In Slavery
We are excited to watch lots of sessions this year, but here are a few of our favorites:
- Roberta Estes, DNA Triangulation: What, Why, and How
- Roberta Estes, Revealing Your Mother’s Ancestors and Where They Came From
- Elena Fowler, Whakawhanaungatanga Using DNA Series
- Ugo Alessandro Perego, Mitochondrial DNA: Our Maternally-Inherited Family History
- Katherine Borges, DNA and Lineage Societies
